Privacy policy

Your salary stays your business. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it and the rights you have under UK data protection law.

Last updated: 19 October 2026

Who we are

Salary Calculator UK ("we", "us", "our") provides free UK pay, tax and employment calculators at dsalarycalculator.co.uk. For the purposes of UK data protection law, we are the data controller for personal data collected through this site.

You can contact us about anything in this policy at b2bsaas.co.uk@gmail.com.

The data we collect

Calculator inputs. Salary figures and options you enter into our calculators are processed in your own browser to show you results. We do not transmit, store or have access to the numbers you type into a calculator.

Contact messages. If you contact us, we receive your name, email address and the contents of your message so we can reply.

Analytics data. We use privacy conscious analytics to understand how the site is used, such as pages visited, approximate location (country or city level), device type and referring site. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.

Cookies. We use a small number of cookies as described in our cookie policy.

Why we process your data (lawful bases)

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) we rely on:

  • Legitimate interests to run, secure and improve the site and to understand aggregated usage through analytics.
  • Consent where you have agreed to it, for example for non essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time through your browser settings.
  • Contract or pre contract steps when you contact us and we need your details to respond.

Sharing your data

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing. We use a limited number of service providers who process data on our behalf, such as our hosting provider and analytics provider. They may only use the data to provide their service to us and must protect it.

Data retention

Contact messages are kept for up to 24 months so we can follow up on earlier conversations, then deleted. Aggregated analytics data is kept for up to 26 months. Calculator inputs are never stored, so there is nothing to retain.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Ask us to erase your data in certain circumstances
  • Restrict or object to how we process your data
  • Receive your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent where we relied on it

To exercise any of these rights, email b2bsaas.co.uk@gmail.com. We will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please contact us before doing so.

Children

This site is intended for adults managing their pay and tax. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page with the date it was last updated.
