Terms of service

The ground rules for using our free calculators and content. Short, plain and fair.

Last updated: 19 October 2026

Accepting these terms

By using dsalarycalculator.co.uk you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. We may update these terms from time to time, and continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Our calculators are free

Every calculator on this site is free to use with no account required. You may use the results for your own personal, non commercial purposes, such as understanding your own pay or preparing for a conversation with your employer or adviser.

Estimates, not advice

Our calculators produce estimates based on HMRC rates and thresholds for the 2026/27 tax year and the information you enter. They are not financial, tax or legal advice, and they do not replace guidance from a qualified accountant, tax adviser or HMRC itself.

Your actual tax bill depends on your full circumstances, including benefits in kind, other income, reliefs and adjustments we cannot know about. Always verify important figures with HMRC or a qualified professional before acting on them. See our disclaimer for more detail.

Accuracy

We work hard to keep every rate and formula correct and we check our figures against official HMRC publications. Even so, mistakes can happen and tax rules can change. We do not guarantee that any figure on this site is complete, accurate or up to date, and you use the site at your own risk.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the site for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site
  • Scrape the site aggressively or copy our content to republish it as your own
  • Misrepresent the site's figures as official HMRC calculations

Intellectual property

The site's design, text, graphics and calculator logic belong to us or our licensors and are protected by UK and international intellectual property law. You may share links to our pages and quote short extracts with credit, but you may not reproduce substantial parts of the site without our written permission.

Third party links

We link to external sites such as HMRC and the Information Commissioner's Office for your convenience. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy or privacy practices of external sites.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site or its figures. This includes any loss of income, tax penalties or other financial loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UK law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

Changes to the site

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the site at any time without notice, for example to update tax year figures or improve our calculators.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
